PET Engineering College was established in 1998 by the Popular Education Trust. It is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education,
New Delhi, and affiliated to the
Anna University. The college offers UG courses in Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and Information Technology. The college has state-of-the-art laboratories, workshops, libraries, sports centre, hostels for boys and girls, and computer center.
