Ousteri Lake is a century old artificial lake located 15 km from
Pondicherry Town, on the Pondicherry -
Viluppuram Road. A range of aquatic species is found here. This lake also serves as a bird sanctuary.
The best time to visit here is from October to March. Buses are available from Vilupuram and Pondicherry.
