Oottupara

Oottupara is a huge rock in the Nellikala village. It is a scenic and historically important vast rock spreading over an area of two acres. It is believed that the "oottu" sadya for Aranmula temple used to be conducted at the top of this rock. There are two ponds and the footmark of Bhim on this rock. It is believed that an annual party used to be hosted here for the poor villagers by erstwhile rulers of Poonjar as a reward and recognition for their hard work.
