Established in 1967, Omkarananda Ashram is located in Muni-ki-reti, a sacred place near the bank of
river Ganga. Their activities are mainly in the social, religious, cultural and educational spheres.
The Ashram is managed by a group of Sanyasis and it houses kindergarten and school classes which include classical Indian music and dance. The Government has honored Swami Omkarananda with awards such as Mother India Award, Bharat Nirman Award, and Hind Rattan Award.
