Old Mahabaleshwar




Old Mahabaleshwar, also known as Shree Kshetra Mahabaleshwar, is an area dotted with temples to the north of Mahabaleshwar. Also called Brahma Aranya, the area is a favorite spot with pilgrims and the place is named after a temple here, which is dedicated to Lord Shiva.

It is home to ancient temples which include Mahabaleshwar, Aatibaleshwar, Panchganga, Shri Shankar Mandir and Shri Krishnabai Mandir. At Panchganga Temple, five springs pour water into a roofed tank.
