Ojas

Ojas is a term used in Ayurveda. It is defined as the invisible source of strength and energy in the body. Ojas is defined as the 'juice' left behind after food has been properly digested and assimilated into the body. It also offers resistance to degeneration.

Ojas is said to be produced when the body has integrated vitality and the mind and body are nourished ideally. Ojas is qualified as a subtle glue that glues the body, mind and spirit. If we are not well integrated, Ama is produced instead of Ojas.
