Ochira Kettukazcha

Ochira Kettukazcha is among the major festivals of Parabrahmam Temple at Ochira in Kollam District. The festival falls in mid-June and lasts for two days. The highlight is a colorful procession of huge, towering motifs of bulls in pairs, which are pulled on wooden carts by the devotees. Large model of Nandi, the vehicle of Lord Shiva, is also taken out in the procession.

On the festival days cattle and agricultural trade fairs are organized. Ochirakali is a part of this annual festival. Parabrahmam Temple is about 34 km north of Kollam.
