North Guwahati




North Guwahati rests on the northern bank of the Brahmaputra River in Kamrup District of Assam. Guwahati (2 km), the state capital is on the other bank. North Guwahati is a small township that promotes all the commercial action. The busiest shopping centers are the Pan Bazaar and the Fancy Bazaar. Amingaon (5.5 km) and Kamakhya (4 km) are the nearby places. Major tourist attractions are Guwahati Planetarium and Anthropological Museum.
