Nokrek Peak




Nokrek Peak, perched at a height of 1412 m, is the highest point in the western part of Meghalaya. Located in Nokrek village, it is the part of the National Citrus Gene Sanctuary-cum-Biosphere Reserve. The place is surrounded by lush green dense forests, which is home to various wild animals, birds and reptiles. This is an ideal site for exciting trekking expeditions.

Nokrek can be approached from the Tura-Asanangre-Daribokgre Road.
