Nishat Garden

Nishat Garden is situated on the banks of world famous Dal Lake in the backdrop of Zabarwan hills.

Asaf Khan, the brother of Noor Jahan, designed the garden in 1633 and followed the same pattern as the Shalimar gardens with a polished stone channel running down the center and a series of terraces. Among the Mughal gardens, Nishat garden is the largest. The walks beside the channel are bordered with lines of cypresses and Chinars. Gopi Teerth a small spring is directly behind the garden.

Nishat Garden is 11 km from Srinagar.
