Ngengpui Wildlife Sanctuary



Ngengpui Wildlife Sanctuary is situated at Ngengpui in Chhimtuipui District. It lies in southwestern Mizoram, close to Indo-Myanmar and Indo-Bangladesh border. It is spread over an area of 110 sq km which includes virgin sub-tropical, evergreen and semi-evergreen forests. The inhabitants of this sanctuary include tiger, clouded leopard, elephant, gaur, barking deer, sambar, wild boar, hoolock gibbon, rhesus macaque, leaf monkey and common langur. The ideal time to visit the sanctuary is from October to March.
