Nevasa is the headquarters of a taluk in Ahmednagar District. It is situated on the banks of Pravara River, about 13 km south-west of Pravara Sangam. Newasa lies 12 km north-east of Vadala Bhairoba. Ahmednagar, the district headquarters, is 54 km south-west.
Jayakwadi Bird Sanctuary is a popular wildlife haunt in the neighborhood. Shirdi, the Sai Baba pilgrim spot, and Loni are other places within easy reach from Nevasa.
