Nerul

Formely known as Nellur, the village of Nerul is situated to the north of Bardez. One of its sides is embraced by the warm waters of the Mandovi River and the other side by lush green hillocks. The village encompasses old mansions such as the palatial residence of the Bishop of Halicarnasso, the Mosmikar House at Darnarim, the Church of Our Lady of Remedies, and Joe D'Souza's mansion at Fortavaddo. The tourists flock to this place during summer for seaside picnics and salt-water baths.

The place is well connected by a good road network. The Nerul beach and the Mandovi river contribute to the idyllic charm of Nerul.
