Nerinjipettai, also spelt Nerunjipettai, is in Erode District, Tamil Nadu. Sprawling over an area of around two square kilometers, Nerinjipettai is surrounded by places such as Ammapettai in the south-west, Poolampatti in the east and Edapaddi in the south-east. Cauvery River flows near the town. Sri Godhandapani Ramaswamy Temple at Ammapettai is only eight kilometers away from the town. Nerinjipettai is about 16 km north-west of Idappadi, 44 km south-west of Salem and 14 km south-west of Nangavalli. Nearby prominent tourist spots are Sankagiri, Bhavani Sangameshwarar Temple, Mettur Dam, Thenkalai Sri Soundararaja Perumal Temple, Bhavani Koodudurai and Salem. C A Coimbatore Airport is the nearest airport. Nerinjipettai can be accessed from Mettur (11 km) and Bhavani by road.
