Nedumudi




The enamouring Nedumudi, also spelt Nedumudy, lies on the banks of the Vembanad Lake, in Alappuzha District of Kerala. Laced with lush green vegetation and numerous palms, the village presents itself an ideal getaway for those who wish to spend for a moment in the solitude of un-spoilt nature.

Nedumudi, 2 km from Chennamkary, is situated midway between Ambalapuzha and Komalapuram. Ramankari, Champakulam, Thakazhy, Purakkad and Karumadi are the nearby areas of tourist interest. Penguin Lake Resort, a 100 year old heritage resort, is situated 2 km away from the village.

Cochin International Airport, about 65 km from Alappuzha, is the nearest airport. Ambalapuzha Railway Station serves the village. State Highway 11, on its way, passes through Nedumudi before reaching Changanacherry.
