Naubat Khana, often called as Drum House, is one of the important monuments of Fatehpur Sikri
, the magnificent city built by Akbar
in the 16th century. Once it was the main entrance to the city, where the emperor’s arrival is announced by a roll of drums. Passing off from the Naubat Khana, is the western entrance to the majestic palace complex which opens into the vast courtyard of the Diwan-i-Aam.
