National Science Centre




National Science Centre, established in 1992, is a constituent of the National Council of Science Museum (NCSM), an autonomous body under the Ministry Of Tourism and Culture. It is one of the largest science centers among the chain of 28 science centers round the country. The main aim of the center is to make science interesting and exciting for students of all IQ levels. National Science Centre is situated on Bhairon Road, Pragati Maidan, in Central Delhi District, Delhi.

The center has a Heritage Gallery, Dinosaurs Gallery, Human Biology Gallery, Mobile Science Exhibitor and a fun and science library. The Heritage Gallery showcases Indian achievements in the history of science. The Dinosaurs Gallery which exhibits all the animals of the Mesozoic era is popular among children of all age-groups.

National Science Centre features an inflatable planetarium provides a complete idea for children about the galaxy and the space beyond the Milky Way. The center has an Internet cafe where the centre offers short term courses on web designing and net application.

National Science Centre is open from 10:00 to 17:30 hrs.
