Naroshankar Temple

Naroshankar Temple is a highly revered shrine in Panchavati. Built by Rajebahaddur in 1747, the temple is noted for its architectural style. The main temple is situated on a platform. There are statues of the saints in Padmasana posture in four directions of the temple.

Surrounded by 11 ft fortification, the temple has umbrellas known as Meghadambari in its four corners. The fortification also houses a bell house and the famous Naroshankar Bell, which marks the victory of the Marathas over the Portuguese, is fixed here. Naroshankar Bell is made of bronze and its jingle can be heard up to five miles.
