Narnala Fort

Shahanur Fort



Narnala Fort, also known as Shahanur Fort, is located in Akola District of Maharashtra. It is about 15 km from Akot.

It is of considerable antiquity and is the largest fort on the hills of Satpuda. Narnala comprises of three small forts: Zafrabad in the east, Narnala at the center and Teliagarh in the west. It is believed that it was constructed by Gond rulers. Some attribute it to Bahamy rule. The fort was modified by Badshah Shahbudeen Ahmadhaha Wali in the 15th century.
