Narial Bhaat




Narial Bhaat is a typical Maharashtrian dish made from coconut and rice. In Marathi, the word ‘narial’ means coconut and ‘bhaat’ means rice. Other ingredients added are crushed jaggery, cashews, pistachios, cardamom, ghee, cloves and a few strings of saffron. This sweet coconut rice is specially prepared on the occasion of Narial Poornima festival.
