Narasamangalaperumal Temple




Narasamangalaperumal Temple is situated at Narasamangalam, which is about 11 km south of Kanchipuram on the Kanchipuram-Vandawashi highway. This ancient temple was built during the reign of the great Pallavas.

The main deities are Lord Vishnu in the name of Narasamangalaperumal and his consort Narasamangalathayar. The legend is that, this is the holy place where Lord Vishnu destroyed the demon Hiranyaksha to protect the law of justice in the world.

A Panjapandavar Cave is located near the Narasamangalaperumal Temple.

The nearest railway station is Kanchipuram Railway Station and Chennai International Airport is the closest airport.
