Nanganallur Sri Thyagaraja Sangeetha Samajam (NSTSS) at
Chennai was established in 1990. It aims to promote Carnatic music. The samajam provides basic lessons in vocal,
mridangam, veena, violin and
bharatanatyam.
An audio cassette library is maintained here, which has recordings of the concerts of eminent musicians. Baghula Panchami concert is arranged every month. Concerts of talented musicians and upcoming artists, series of spiritual discourses, and music competitions are organized every year. Apart from the samajam’s regular concerts, anniversary, Sri Thyagaraja Aradhana and music festivals are also arranged.
