Nandini Wildlife Sanctuary




Nandini Wildlife Sanctuary is situated at Nadini Village, about 28 km from Jammu, in Jammu and Kashmir. Spread over an area of 33 sq km, it is home to about eight mammal species and a variety of birds.

Major animal species found here include leopard, wild boar, rhesus macaque, gharial and grey langur. Among the bird species found here include Indian Hill Myna, blue rock pigeon, peafowl, red jungle fowl and pheasants.

Best time to visit:
Birds: March to May.
Animals: September to March.

Jammu Tawi Railway Station is the nearest railhead. The nearest airport is at Jammu.
