Nanda Devi Rajjaat




Nanda Devi Rajjaat is organized once in 12 years in the region around Nanda Devi Mountain and its sanctuary in Uttaranchal. The jaat starts from Nauti and goes up to the heights of Roopkund and Homkund with a four horned sheep.

The idol of Goddess Nanda Devi are taken in a procession accompanied by barefooted devotees. Those participating in the jaat observe certain religious customs during the period.
