Namphake




Namphake village is about 55 km from Dibrugarh. It lies on the banks of the Buridihing River. A 150-year-old village, it is occupied by the Tai Phake tribes.

Important attraction of this village are sunset in Namphake, boating in the Buridhing River, Pagoda built in 1937, Buddhist Monastery, Ashoka pillar, Nong Mungchiringta (Musulinda tank), traditional stilt house, traditional dances such as Kakong (drum Dance), Kapan (welcome dance), Kachong (umbrella Dance) and Ka feefai (diamond dance).

The village is about 5 km from the Naharkatia town.
