Positioned at a height of 15,055 ft above sea level, Namchang is a small settlement in
Leh District of
Jammu and Kashmir. It is about 11 km away from Likche and lies to the south-west of Leh. Namchang is bounded by
Zagok in the west, Erad in the north and Argi in the south.
Namchang can be approached from Roang and Chompa by road.
