Nahar Jharokha is one of the ruined structures in
Mandu. The word 'Nahar' means 'tiger' and 'Nahar Jharokha' means the place from where tigers could be hunted. It was meant for the rulers to address their subjects. It was here that emperor Jahangir happily awarded the title of Shah Jahan or King of the Universe upon his son prince Khurram.
