Nagri, formerly known as Madhyamika, is situated on the banks of
Berach River. It was an important township of the
Mauryan era in
Rajasthan. The ruins of Hindu temples and Buddhist monuments are the prime attraction of this old town.
Nagri is around 17 km north of
Chittorgarh.
