Nagling




Nagling is a picturesque village situated 6 km from Sobla in Pithoragarh District. It offers an ideal nature trek for watching birds. Nagling provides a panoramic view of the snow-capped Nagling Peak. The village is surrounded by lush green forest of oak and pine with gurgling waterfalls.

The village is named after the nag god (snake god.) It is believed that the nag devours a hundred people once a year when it wakes up from sleep. Tawaghat, Baling Village, Saila, Urthing, Dantu and Dugtun are nearby tourist destinations. Base camps and trekking equipments are available here.

The nearest airport is Pant Nagar Airport and the nearest railway station is Tanakpur Railway Station.
