Nagewadi




Situated about 12 km from Satara, Nagewadi is a small village in Satara District. Folklore has it that a person named Veer Sawant founded this village around 200 years ago.

Goddess Shakambari Temple, Goddess Mari Mata Temple and Kalikadevi Temple are the major attractions here. The renowned Dhom Irrigation Canal passes through this village. Sajjangad Fort is easily accessible from Nagewadi.

Satara Railway Station is the nearest railhead (12 km).
