Nagasubramania Temple




Nagasubramania Temple, an important Sarpa Kavu of Kerala, is located at Kannimagalam in Palakkad District. The main deity of the temple is Nagaraja. The temple also houses 23 small idols of snakes.

It is said that by performing milk abhishek (an offering) at this temple, one can get rid of Sarpa Dosham. Among the most colorful celebrations is Kumara Sashti or the Sashti Vilakku. During the celebrations, one gets the opportunity to see a parade of three big tuskers and an outstanding set of drummers. Infront of the temple, there is a mukha-mandapam (pedestal).
