Nagareeswarar Temple




Nagareeswarar Temple is a highly revered shrine situated on the East Raja Street, in Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu. The temple enshrines Lord Nagareeswarar as the presiding deity. The temple enshrines the idols of Lord Muruga and Lord Venkatesa Perumal (Lord Vishnu).

Situated in the court of the temple is an idol of Lord Ganesh. Situated in the outer court of the temple are images of Bhairav, Navagrahas and Surya. The temple’s wall boasts beautiful images of Lord Ayyappa, Nataraja and a holy figure of the warrior of Madurai (Madurai Veeran).
