Nagamangala




42 km from Mandya, Nagamangala was an important town under the reign of Hoysala Dynasty. This place is well known for its metal crafts and ancient temples. One of its best known temples is the Saumyakeshava Temple dedicated to Lord Keshava (Krishna) which is nearly 2 m high. Another temple worth visiting is the Jain temple with a beautiful Brahmadeva pillar.
