Nadaswaram College was started in 1957 and is situated on the Giri Veedi in a simple building. The college offers gurukula method of teaching. It offers a four year course for students of age group 10 to 15. Only one batch of students is trained at a time with a total intake of 65 students. They are divided into two – 23 for Thavil and 42 for Nadaswaram. The students are given all facilities including boarding, lodging, medical facilities and a dress for Deepavali free of cost. On completion of the course certificates are issued by the Devasthanam.
