Nachiapuram is part of the Kallal Town Panchayat of
Sivagangai District, and is famous for the Arulmigu Nachiar Amman temple. The name Nachiapuram has been derived from the name of the goddess Arulmigu Nachiar Amman. Nachiapuram is home to the Nagarathars community.
