Muzaffarpur Institute of Technology




Founded by Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru in 1954, Muzaffarpur Institute of Technology (MIT) is one of the leading engineering colleges in Muzaffarpur, Bihar. It is managed by Department of Science and Technology, Government of Bihar, and is approved by the AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education), New Delhi.

Courses are offered in various branches of engineering such as civil, mechanical, electrical, information technology and electronics and communication. Lectures, project works, laboratory tasks and seminars are part of the training. Besides, a training and placement cell operates here to assist students in career and placement matters.

The campus, spread over 55 acres, comes with well equipped library, laboratories, computer center and clubs. Hostel and medical facilities are also available.
