Muttom Beach is situated about 32 km from
Kanyakumari. Huge rocks rise from the ocean like petrified pre-historic sea creatures in this beach.
The main attractions of the place are the sunset and the century old lighthouse. The lighthouse was built by the British.
The beach is not very safe because of the slippery rocks, strong currents and thundering waves. The government has fenced off the more dangerous portion of the rocks.
