35 km from Malavalli and 6 km from Mandya, this small village on the banks of the river Cauvery has a beautiful temple of Lord Anjaneyaswamy. Legends say that Sita lost her finger ring in this part of the river Cauvery and Hanuman twirled the river to find the ring. Devotees visit this temple mostly on Saturdays, a day considered special to Hanuman. The place is a fine tourist destination and a paradise for nature lovers and anglers.
