Mukhya Praana Temple




Mukhya Praana Temple is located at Triplicane in Chennai. It was constructed in 1794. The deity of the temple is Lord Anjaneya. The idol of Sri Mukhya Praana (Jagadguru) is mounted on a sanctum sanctorum measuring nine foot by seven foot. The idol is made of granite stone. The lord is in standing posture with the right leg stretching an inch in front of the left. The temple was renovated in 1910 by the Uttaradhi Mutt.
