Mud

Mud is a charming village located 15 km from Chinpatta Maidan in Lahaul and Spiti District. It lies at an altitude of about 3,811 m, on the Pin Parvati Pass trek route in the Pin Valley. Sangam, Kaza, Tiya, Mantalai Lake and Dhankar are nearby tourist destinations. Mud is an ideal spot for trekking and mountaineering. Base camps are available.

Mud is populated with a simple folk of the Tibetan stock. The village houses a small nunnery. The village is flanked by the pyramid-shaped Tordang Mountain.

Nearest airport is at Bhuntar. Joginder Nagar Railway Station is the nearest railway station.
