In the outskirts of the town,
Kolhapur, near the New Palace, is situated Motibag Thalim, one of the residential clubs of wrestlers. It is at this place most the athletes are trained. You can watch them being trained from 05:00 to 08:00 hrs and 16:30 to 18:30 hrs. This club has presented many wrestling champions to the nation.
Kolhapur is 330 km from Pune and 409 km from Mumbai. It has its own railway station and airport. Kolhapur is also well connected by roads.
