Mor Pathrose Paulose Church

Mor Pathrose Paulose Church, also known as Sts Peter's and Paul's Church, is one of the ancient churches in Ernakulam District of Kerala. It was established in 1867 by Thuruthil Varkey Ulahannan. In 1868, it destroyed due to a fire sparked by fireworks on the church festival day.

The church was rebuilt in 1873 and handed over (in 1879) to Shemaon Mar Dionysius (the first Metropolitan of Kochi), who named it after Apostles Peter and Paul. The remains of Mor Dionysius are buried in this church.

The church was again remodeled in 1980 and was consecrated by H.H. Patriarch Zakka I, the Patriarch of Antioch (Syria), in 1982. It is situated at Kadungamangalam in Thiruvankulam, a small village 10 km north of Tripunithura.
