Modinagar, formerly known as Begumabad, is in Ghaziabad District of Uttar Pradesh. It is 24 km from Ghaziabad.

Modinagar is named after Modi Group of Industries. It gained the status of an industrial town after the establishment of Navbharat Group of Industries.

Modinagar is an advanced town in terms of education. In addition, it is well-known for the development and marketing of various drinks.

Modi Mandir, Bamba, Navbharat Cyber World, Pir, Shiv Chawk and Agarsan Murti are among the points of interest. The market places include Upper Bazaar, Lower Bazaar, Rukmani Market, Main Market Govindpuri and Gandhi Market.

Modinagar is on the National Highway 58 between Muradnagar and Muhibudinpur (Meerut District). Niwari is to the north-west of Modinagar. Modinagar Railway Station is on the Ghaziabad-Meerut rail route. The nearest airport is at Delhi, 46 km away.
