Mir Alam Tank




Mir Alam Tank, also known as 'Mir Sagar', is a large lake situated adjacent to Nehru Zoological Park, in Hyderabad. Completed in 1806, it was once the major source of water supply in the city.

Named after Mir Alam (Prime Minister of Hyderabad from 1804-1808), the tank is noted for its construction characterized by a mile-long bund formed by 21 arches. Boating facilities are available.
