Melchhamunda is a village in Padampur sub-division, about 37 km from Padampur, in
Baragarh District of
Orissa. Some Buddhist relics have been found at Ganiapali 10 km from here. The place is identified with ancient Muchalinda – believed to be a centre of Buddhist learning.
