Mekkotta Bhagavati Temple is located at
Vallikkunu in
Malappuram District, Kerala. The presiding deity of the temple is Goddess Bhagavati.
The place, where the temple stands, was earlier the armory and training center of the Parappanadu Kingdom and one can find remains of it here.
The main festival is
Mekkotta Thalappoli, when the deity visits her sister at Thalappoli Parambu. The Mekkotta temple is about 2 km north from the famous Ayyappa temple known by the name Niramkaithakotta Temple.
