Mehraj




Mehraj is a historic village situated just 6 km away from the Rampura Phul Railway Station, in Bathinda District, Punjab.

Mehraj’s origin dates back to 1628. It was founded by Bhai Mohan, the great-grandson of Mehraj with the blessings of Guru Hargobind Sahib.

Places of tourist interest are the Gurdwara Chhota Gurusar Tambu Sahib and the Gurdwara Gurusar Mehraj, situated at the site of a battle between the Sikhs and the Mughals in 1634 (The Mehraj Battle).
