Meghera Cara

Meghera Cara, formerly known as Belapukhuriya, is a village located in Antardvipa, one among the nine islands of Navadvipa. It is said that once Chaitanya Mahaprabhu was performing sankirtana and then some dark clouds gathered there. Due to his immense power, the clouds dispersed from there and thus the name Meghera Cara. The place houses several temples related to the Gaudiya Vaishnava Sect.

There are ferry services operating across the Bhagirathi River from Navadvipa.
