Mayapiran Temple




Mayapiran Temple, one of the five Pandava temples in Kerala, is located about 5 km west of Chengannur Railway Station. The chief deity Mayapiran (Lord Krishna) along with Taayar Porkodi Nachiyar is in standing position facing the east of the temple. According to Hindu myth, the Pandava prince Bheemasena built this temple after a great yaga. It is also believed that Saptarshis gained deliverance here.
