Mayabunder, the sub-divisional headquarter of the Middle Andaman, is situated about 70 km north of
Rangat in
Andaman District of
Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
The place enchants one with its scenic backdrop and attractive beaches. It is occupied by the settlers from Burma, East Pakistan and ex-convicts. PWD inspecting bungalow, a hospital, schools and other offices are seen here.
Places of tourist interest are Avis Island, Karmatang Beach (13 km), Swiftlet Nes Guest House and Kalighat.
Mayabunder is about 242 km from Port Blair by road and 157 km by sea.
